I also found my adjustable pliers, remembering that a couple of the radiator valves were painted shut and might require a little more muscle to loosen them up. My wife, Marissa, eyed me suspiciously as I emerged from the cellar with these items and a testosterone-filled look in my eye.
Schedules are easily configured and controlled from the smartphone app, although you can also make adjustments from the main thermostat unit. The TRVs don’t have their own screens, but you can tweak them to temporarily raise or lower the temperature by 2ºC.
The Tado app is a well-designed and intuitive control panel. A dropdown menu in the top left provides access to a list of rooms with a smart radiator thermostat, and the room temperature of the currently selected room in large font at the top of the screen.
